Can I use this form?
Use this form if the incident happened in St. Joseph, Missouri, is not an emergency or a crime in progress, and there is no known suspect — you don't know who did it and can't name them. There should be no evidence to collect (fingerprints, DNA, and the like), and you should be 18 or older.

Reporting anonymously
You may submit without giving your name. Anonymous reports are still reviewed, but we cannot follow up with you or send you updates.
What you'll need
To make your report complete, have ready:
- When and where it happened — date, time, and the exact address or nearest cross street
- What was taken or damaged — makes, models, serial numbers, and estimated value
- Vehicle details, if one was involved — plate, make, model, color, year
- Any description of a suspect or suspect vehicle
- Photos, if you have them
What happens next
When you submit, you'll be given a temporary report number on screen, and emailed a copy if you provide an email address. Your report is reviewed by St. Joseph Police Department personnel. If it is approved, a case number is assigned and it becomes part of our records. If we need more information, we'll contact you at the email or phone you provided.
Keep your confirmation, and check your spam folder if you don't hear back within about a week.
